Flushing is a large village on the banks of the Penryn River looking across to Falmouth in South Cornwall. At Flushing there are shops, pubs and there is a quay on the waterfront with a restaurant. East of the village along Trefusis Road is a small rocky and sand beach known as either Kiln Quay Beach, Trefusis Beach or Flushing Beach. The beach can be quite popular in summer. Flushing is about 11 miles from Truro. From Truro take the A39 to Falmouth and at the Treluswell Roundabout take the turning to Penryn onto the B3292. At Penryn turn left where signposted to Flushing. Continue on this road out of Penryn for about a mile then turn right where signposted to Flushing. Follow this road to a junction and then turn right. Take this road down into Flushing. There is road parking on Trefusis Road and a small car park on the waterfront quay.
