14 photos of Maidencombe Beach, English Riviera

Maidencombe Beach is a small sandy cove a few miles north of Babbacombe and Torquay. There is a café and toilets. Torquay is 24 miles from Exeter on the A38 and A380. At Torquay follow the A3022 to the Torquay sea front and then take the A379 north of Babbacombe. Then several miles north of Babbacombe, at Maidencombe Cross, opposite the garage turn right onto a road called Brim Hill (signosted to Maidencombe Beach) and follow this road for about a mile to Maidencombe village. In the village follow this road past The Thatched Tavern (signposted to the beach car park) a short distance to the car park. From the car park there is a path to the beach, final access to the beach is via steep steps. There are other routes to Maidencombe such as the A379 from Teignmouth.
