Information image
Starehole Bay is a picturesque cove south of Salcombe on the South Devon coast. Above the bay are rocky cliffs known as Sharp Tor. South of Starehole Bay is the headland of Bolt Head. Salcombe is about 24 miles from Plymouth on the A379 and A381. At Salcombe there are small car parks at South Sands. Alternatively to park at East Soar, on the A381 at Malborough, turn right sign posted to Soar. Follow this lane out of Malborough for several miles and then take a left turning sign posted to East Soar and Higher Soar Farm. Continue on this road to the East Soar National Trust car park. From the car park there is a path which links up with the coast path to Bolt Head.
