30 photos of Haytor Quarry, Dartmoor

Haytor Quarry is a disused quarry near Haytor Rocks on the east edge of Dartmoor. Haytor Quarry is on open moorland and there are two paths into the quarry. There are a number of routes to Haytor. From Plymouth take the A38 east and at the Goodstone junction turn off where signposted to Newton Abbott (A383). On this slip road, turn left where signposted to Widecombe and Sigford. Continue on this road for several miles up onto Dartmoor, then turn right at the Cold East crossroads. Continue on this road, then at the Hemsworthy Gate junction turn right where signposted to Haytor. Continue on this road to Haytor Rocks. Haytor Quarry is on the north slopes of Haytor Rocks. There is a pay and display car park just below Haytor Rocks, but a short distance beyond this car park, is a free layby car park which is closer to Haytor Quarry.
