Saddle Tor is a small tor near Haytor Rocks on the south east of Dartmoor. There is a small car park below Saddle Tor and a path to the tor summit, from where there is a path to Haytor Rocks and there are other nearby tors to explore such as Holwell Tor and Smallacombe Rocks. There are a number of routes to Haytor. From the Plymouth direction take the A38 east and at the Goodstone junction turn off where signposted to Newton Abbott (A383). On the slip road, turn left where signposted to Widecombe and Sigford. Continue on this road for several miles up onto Dartmoor, then turn right at the Cold East crossroads and continue on this road to the Hemsworthy Gate junction. At this junction turn right onto the B3387 and continue on this road for a short distance to the car park below Saddle Tor.
