19 photos of Carnon Valley, South Cornwall

The river Carnon flows through the Carnon Valley a few miles south of Truro in Cornwall. The valley was a former industrial landscape which included an arsenic refinery at Bissoe. The valley is now a nature reserve and there is a cycle/walking path from Devoran through the valley which leads eventually to the Bissoe Valley. Devoran is about 5 miles from Truro on the A39. There is parking at Devoran or alternatively at the Carnon Gate roundabout take the turning to Bissoe. On this road, go across at a cross roads (signposted to Bissoe) then turn left onto Grenna Lane. A short distance on this lane there is a car park by the cycle/walking path.
