The Gibraltar Stone is a memorial stone on a hill side on Bicton Common in East Devon. The stone which was donated by the people of Gibraltar commemorates the Royal Marines who have trained on Woodbury Common. The closest car park for Bicton Common is the car park for Uphams Wood. Uphams Wood is about 9 miles east of Exeter. From Exeter take the A376 and A3052. On the A3052 at the Halfway House junction turn right onto the B3180 signposted to Exmouth. Continue on this road for several miles and then turn left at the Four Firs crossroads. Continue on this road to the Uphams car park. Opposite the entrance to Uphams Wood is a gate leading onto Bicton Common. From here follow paths down into a valley and then up the other side to the Gibraltar Stone.
