Information image
Wheat Hill is a large woodland and heathland in East Devon. It was formerly a Royal Marine training camp in the Second World War. There are many trails and paths through the heathland, including paths which link up with Squabmoor to the south. Wheat Hill is about 11 miles east of Exeter. From Exeter take the A376 and A3052. On the A3052 at the Halfway House junction turn right onto the B3180 signposted to Exmouth. Continue on this road for several miles and go straight across at the Four Firs crossroads, go past the entrance to Black Hill quarry, then take the next left. Continue on this lane for several miles until a right turning, turn right here and the car park for Wheat Hill is a short distance on this lane.
